Professionalism is Essential to Achieve Sales & Customer Service Excellence!


 What is Professionalism?

Professionalism can be defined in many ways.  The foundation of professionalism is:

  • Your attitude and image
  • Your organization skills and how you handle stress
  • Communication with Peers, Clients, Superiors, and others.
  • Your ability to problem solve
  • Leadership skills and Personal Development/Achievement

“People do business with people they like, know, and trust.”

If we lack in any of the above mentioned areas it will be pretty hard to get our clients to ‘like, know and trust’ us.  You can be the sweetest person in the world, but if you are so unorganized that you drop the ball time and time again your customer will surely have to take their business elsewhere.  At the same time you can have the best idea and be diligent, but if you can’t communicate your ideas or solutions they go unnoticed and unused.

Each professional attribute is essential to the sales and customer service process.  In order to solve a problem we must know the steps to problem solving and communicating the answer.

I exhort you to seek professional development do a self evaluation.  Growing professionally will help you in your life endeavours and achieving your personal goals.

Use this self evaluation and answer honestly.  Then seek improvement where needed.  In today’s economy or any economy it’s important to work SMART.
